VFS Capital is one of the oldest and most reputable microfinance institutions in Eastern India empowering people providing small business loans. Village Financial Services Ltd (VFS) was the first microfinance company in eastern India to have been granted the status of a Non-Banking Financial Company by the Reserve Bank of India. VFS is also the first ISO-certified microfinance company in India.
VFS started microfinance operations in the financial year 2005-2006. The microfinance programme has grown phenomenally.
