The Kyocera Group is one of the leading supplier of solar power generating systems, mobile phones, printers, copiers, printheads, LCDs, electronic components, semiconductor packages, etc. Kyocera CTC Precision Tools Pvt. Ltd. (KCPT) was established as a joint venture company of the Kyocera cutting tool business to service industrial customers in India. Kyocera’s cutting tool business started with the ultra-high-speed ceramic tools which were introduced from Germany in 1971 by Dr. Inamori, founder and chairman emeritus of Kyocera Corporation. Kyocera began producing cutting tools in Japan soon after and today is one of the global leaders in the industrial cutting tool field.

The Kyocera Cutting Tool Group’s Vision is “Advancing your productivity through efficient cutting tool products and advanced tooling solutions.” We provide customers with expert analysis for continually improving cutting performance along with innovative materials and insert geometries.

KCPT manufactures products in India with the same level of quality and performance as Kyocera products which are made in other countries by using the same materials, machinery and methods in production and inspection. KCPT has been continually enhancing its own capability by expanding standard insert production, starting holder production, expanding production of insert grades such as CBN, and is now planning to start production of special inserts in the near future.
